REBOUND... ANYONE GOT A REBOUND?

Out-rebounded by 17 and shot 29%. That's all anyone needs to know. Oh, and that Paul Harris decided to put on a Louisville uni in the final minute. SLOW DOWN PAUL!

Outrebounded by 17. That means 17 more shot opportunites for Louisville. Which means if they make a QUARTER of them (about what we shot), they score and extra 8 points (if they're all 2 point baskets). The 'Cuse lost by 11, and the final two baskets were break-away dunks (flukes). (L'ville had 10 more shot attempts than the 'Cuse)

Equation { (-TO)+(+R)=W } still intact.

Still, not a bad loss. However, it almost forces the Orange to have to beat ND (who I think will eat us alive from outside the arch) on the road to have a chance at the tourney. I really don't see any other way to make the big dance besides getting one of these two (L'ville or ND) and then beating SH and at least splitting Pitt and M'quette at home. We DO know they have to win at least 2 out of the last 4 to make it in (under .500 in the Big East simply won't get it done.)

SIDENOTES:

I hate the zone, I always have (3 line is simply too close in college to play it). It's half the reason for such a large rebounding deficit. The other half is hustle. Having said that, being 7 players deep forces them to play 2-3. But I hate lazy. L'ville wasn't. The Orange were.

DONTE!? STOP SHOOTING 3'S! PLEASE! I know they look like good shots, but they're not when you're 5 for your last 37! (13.5%... seriously, does anyone else still want him outside instead of under the basket?).

*As I've said before... maybe it's a good thing he's playing like ass. We could use him next year.

Tough night for Jonny, too. But at least he hustles, and I don't see him making many bad plays/taking bad shots. Not to mention his heart is bigger than the rest of the team's combined.

Should of gone to AO more inside early in the second half. When he got the ball he dominated.

The roller coaster ride continues... bring on the Irish.

The effort on the defensive glass is terrible. With Harris playing in the top of the zone, and doing a good job there, the other kids just haven't stepped up on the boards. Greene might be the laziest player we have ever seen.
